Train service resumes after two-day suspension

Pulwama: The train service resumed on Wednesday after remaining suspended for two days due to “security reasons” in south Kashmir, where a youth was killed and many injured in the firing by government forces in an anti-CASO protest.

“Train service has today resumed on the Banihal-Srinagar track after two days of suspension,” a senior railway official posted at Budgam told Kashmir Reader.

He said all trains are running in Kashmir valley today on all routes as per schedule.

Train service was suspended on Monday after a youth’s killing in Pulwama set off massive protests.
