Srinagar: Train service remained suspended for the second day today for “security reasons” across south Kashmir, where a youth was shot dead by government forces during a protest triggered by cordon and search operation (CASO) on Monday.

No train will chug on Srinagar-Banihal line but trains will run on Srinagar-Budgam to Baramulla in north Kashmir as per schedule, official sources told Kashmir Reader.

Officials said that the decision has been taken in view of possible protests against the killing of a youth by government forces in Chewakalan village of Pulwama on Monday.
