Anganwadi Workers, Helpers demand increase in honorarium

Srinagar: Anganwadi workers and helpers of the ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) Project of state social welfare department Tuesday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar demanding increase in their honorarium.

The protesters first assembled in Partap Park under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Anganwadi workers and helpers Association, and later on marched and blocked residency road Srinagar for some time.

Raising slogans against the state government for not fulfilling their demands which are pending from a very long period of time, the protesters expressed dismay over allegedly given no heed by the authorities.
