Hizb commander Riyaz Naikoo’s father released

Srinagar: Police have released father of prominent Hizbul Mujahideen commander Riyaz Ahmad Naikoo, two days after he was picked up from his home in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Asadullah Naikoo, father of Hizbul Mujahideen’s Chief of Operations in Kashmir, Riyaz Naikoo was released by police from their custody this morning, official sources told Kashmir Reader.

Police also released father and brothers of another top Hizb militant Lateef Tiger from detention.

Tiger’s father Ghulam Hassan Khazir and brothers Zubair and Nadeem were arrested in a raid in Dogripora villages in Awantipora, hours after militants attacked and killed four policemen in an ambush on Wednesday.
