Guards repulse attack on home of BJP leader’s brother

TRAL: Suspected militants on Tuesday night attacked the residence of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader’s brother in Tral town. The police sentries guarding the residence repulsed the attack, local sources said.
The suspected militants opened fire at the policemen guarding the residence of BJP leader Avtaar Singh’s brother at Monghama village of Tral, police officials told Kashmir Reader.
The police guards fired back at the militants, forcing them to flee, police officials said.
There was no injury sustained in the attack, they said.
The BJP leader, Avtaar Singh, has been living in Srinagar for a long time.
