Clashes erupt during CASO in Pulwama village

Srinagar: Clashes broke out between government forces and protesters early Thursday after forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Murran village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district, local sources said.

Locals alleged that forces ransacked property and beat some people during the search operation.

They told Kashmir Reader over phone that six youth were arrested by forces in the village.

They identified the arrested youth as Sameer Ahmad, Sahil Ahmad, Arshid Ahmad, Amir Ahmad, Tawseef Ahmad and Firdous Ahmad.

Local sources alleged that window panes of local Masjid were also smashed by forces.
