SRINAGAR: Various delegations on Tuesday called on the Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai and apprised him of their problems and other issues.
A delegation of Fruit Growers Union from Pakherpora informed Ganai that they have been doing business from Waqf shops for the last 30 years and now they have been asked to vacate the same. They appealed him to rehabilitate them at some other place so that they can continue earning their livelihood.
A delegation of Private Contractors Association from Kulgam also called upon the Advisor. They were demanding release of funds for the works done under PMGSY scheme in Kulgam in 2014.
A delegation from Mahwar Budgam sought macdamization of road in their area. The delegation apprised the advisor that they have poor road connectivity that is hampering their daily activities.
A delegation from Batpora Kupwara demanded construction of building for Primary Health Centre (PHC). The delegation informed the Advisor that the PHC is currently functioning from a rented space and the lack of space is affecting its functioning.
Meanwhile the advisor’s office has sought Action Taken Report on the redressal of grievances received by him during public hearings at Srinagar and Jammu.
