Srinagar: The Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Tuesday condoled the demise of Syed Javaid Ahmed, who died in Rawalpindi, Pakistan after a brief of illness, stating that he was one of the front-runners of Kashmir’s political struggle.
Javaid originally hails from Rainawari, Srinagar.
According to a statement, Mirwaiz paid rich tributes to the deceased and termed him a great sympathizer of Kashmir. “Javaid worked on various fronts to highlight the Kashmir issue,” he said. “He was the real supporter of Kashmir cause and helped many people especially refugees from Kashmir.”
The Hurriyat chairman extended his condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the highest standards in Janah for the deceased.
