Srinagar: Teachers working under centrally sponsored scheme, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) on Tuesday held a protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the benefits of 7th pay commission.

The teachers from various districts assembled in press enclave under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKRETTF) and raised slogans against the state government for not giving them benefits of 7th pay commission.

The protestors alleged that the state government was doing grave injustice with them. “The government is not implementing the 7th pay commission benefits and it does not delink SSA salaries from MHRD Budget to State government Budget,” they said.
