Militants attack NC leader’s house in central Kashmir’s Budgam

Budgam: Suspected militants attacked the residence of a senior National Conference (NC) leader in this central Kashmir district, police sources told Kashmir Reader today

Suspected militants fired few gunshots at the house of former finance minister Rather in Badipora village here on Monday night before escaping from the spot, police sources told Kashmir Reader.

However, no one was injured in the attack.

SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh told Kashmir Reader that police was verifying the facts.

“We are not sure whether it was a militant attack or something else, but we are verifying the facts,” he said.
