Srinagar: Muslim League Jammu Kashmir on Sunday condemned arrest of two party members, Fairoz Ahmad Khan and Ghulam Hassan Shah by the police and slapping Public Safety Act against them, saying both have been sent to Kotbalwal Jail, Jammu.
League spokesman Sajad Ayobi in a statement while ridiculing state administration for their brute approach, said that both have been implicated in “fictitious cases”. He said that the policy adopted by authorities cannot break their will and courage.
Ayobi termed the shifting of the two pro-freedom leaders to Kotbalwal jail Jammu as “undemocratic and unconstitutional.”
“We vehemently condemn such act on part of authorities,” he said. “Slapping PSAs on these leaders it to force the leadership into submission. Such moves had been tested in the past and failed to make the people of Kashmir surrender.”
Ayobi appealed to HR organizations to take notice of the human rights violations taking place in Jammu and Kashmir.
