Srinagar: An unexploded shell was found in Shunglipora village of Tosamaidan area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday, sources said and added the shell was diffused without any harm to anybody.
DSP Magam Showkat Ahmad confirmed to Kashmir Reader that police received information regarding the presence of an unexploded shell in a water stream in Shunglipora village.
“Acting promptly a team of police visited the spot and diffused it without creating any harm,” he said.
Pertinently over 30 deaths have been reported so far in Shunglipora village of Budgam while as same number of people had sustained injuries after the unexploded shells went off in the area which was used by army for decades together.
The shells usually come across with the water stream that originates from Tosamaidan, firing range area.
