JAMMU: A four-day training programme on first-aid concluded here on Saturday. Employees from Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd Jammu besides Commercial vehicles drivers and conductors participated in the programme.
According to a statement issued here, all the participants were taught “what to do and what not to do” in case of accidents and medical emergencies. They were also motivated towards time management and to observe the standard Traffic Rules and Regulations.
It said secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, Dinesh Gupta briefed the participants about the functioning of Red Cross Society and how they can also be of big help to others during any medical emergencies/accidental victims and can save precious lives of others by applying the knowledge acquired by them during the Training. He also appealed them to be associated with Red Cross and share the benefits of having the First-Aid Training Programme among others.
The Training was imparted by the Sr. Consultant Dr Rajinder Thappa, assisted by supervisor Pharmacist, Kanchan Devi and Social Activist, Vijay Magotra and the examination was conducted by Medical Officer, Red Cross Dispensary, Dr Rashmi Sharma, it reads.
