Budgam: Hundreds of residents of Bandgam and its adjoining villages here in this central Kashmir district on Saturday blocked the railway track to mark their protest against the ‘dilapidated ‘ road conditions.

Early morning, hundreds of residents of different villages including Nadigam, Panchas, Wahabpora, Charhar, Raizwan and Bandgam came out on streets and staged protest against the ‘dilapidated’ road conditions in the district, witnesses told Kashmir Reader.

Chanting slogans against the R&B department, the protestors blocked railway track at Nadigam by erecting barricades. The protesters said that the ‘delaying tactics’ of the R&B department to macadamise the roads have forced them to block the railway track.
