Digital banking campaign concludes at J&K Grameen Bank

SRINAGAR: J&K Grameen Bank conducted ‘Digital Banking Campaign’ from 16th July 2018 to 21th August 2018 throughout the bank across the state. Under the said initiative, the bank has emphasised its clientele to adopt digital products like RuPay Cards, IMPS, NEFT and RTGS, etc. The initiative was taken to move a step forward towards the cash less economy.
Chairman Janak Raj Angural appreciated the efforts of IT department for introducing the IT products in the bank and all the regional managers of Jammu as well as Kashmir as they are doing extensive work in this ongoing campaign by wide spreading the awareness regarding the campaign, an official handout issued here on Tuesday read.
Under the said campaign, a considerable number of customers have started using digital services and products of the bank including NEFT/RTGS, IMPS, SMS Banking, RuPay Card and Direct Benefit Transfer, etc. A spurt in Mobile Linking and Aadhaar Linking was also observed during the campaign, read the handout.
General Manager, J&K Grameen Bank, Jammu, Romesh Vaid while appreciating the efforts of staff appealed to them to widespread the information to customers to replace their existing RuPay Cards having magnetic strips with RuPay Cards having EMV Chip by or before December 31st 2018.
The management has also announced ‘certificates of appreciation’ to the top performing branch offices during the campaign.
IT Incharge, Jyotsna Garib thanked all the staff members for strenuous efforts to make the campaign a big success. She also informed that “J&K Grameen Bank shall soon be live on UPI (BHIM) platform and POS terminals shall also be rendered to our merchants”, the handout added.
