DGP reviews security arrangements for LAHDC elections

Srinagar: Director General of Police, J&K Dr. S.P Vaid Sunday visited Zanskar Sub Division and district Kargil and reviewed the security arrangement in connection with 4th General Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Election-2018 and also interacted with officers and jawans. He was accompanied by IGP Kashmir Zone S.P Pani, DIG CKR Vidhi Kumar Birdi, SSP PCR Kashmir Shahid Mehraj and SP Kargil Vinod Kumar.
Dr. Vaid along with other officers visited Police Station Zanskar and addressed a darbar of officers and jawans. At Zanaskar DGP and other officers were received by Additional SP Arun Gupta and other officers, a statement said.
Later on the DGP visited Kargil and interacted with Jawans at DPL Kargil and reviewed the preparedness for the LAHDC elections at an officers meeting.
“During the darbars, DGP patiently heard the grievances put forth by the police personnel. He assured for their early redressal at all levels,” statement said.
Dr. Vaid appreciated the working and role of jawans in performing their duties in the harsh climatic conditions of the region and conveyed their best wishes to all ranks of the district Police Kargil.
IGP Kashmir S.P.Pani spoke on the occasion and briefed the DGP about efforts of Kargil police and overall security situation of Kargil.
On this occasion, DySP Hqrs Kargil Syeed Mujahid ul Haq, DySP DAR Kargil Rigzin Sangdupand other officers.
On the conclusion of darbar, SP Kargil Vinod Kumar presented vote of thanks to DGP and other senior officers.
