TRAL: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Coordination Committee (JKCSCC) held an awareness meeting with civil society, citizens council, trade body Tral and others at Town hall Tral regarding Article 35A.
Hameeda Nayeem on the occasion said that the BJP and RSS are hell bent to revoke article 35 A of the constitution.
She also urged civil society members to support protest programme and observe complete shutdown to protest against any move regarding the tinkering of article 35 A on August 26 and 27.
Chairman Citizen Council Tral Farooq Trali highlighted the importance of Article 35A and assured full support on behalf of people of Tral in safe guarding Article 35A.
Later on other trade union and civil society members also addressed the audience and threw light on the special status of the state granted by constitution of India.
Joint Resistance Leadership, comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik alrady called for called for shutdown in Kashmir Valley.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a case on the special constitutional provision on Aug 27.
