Srinagar: Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Saturday while wishing newly elected Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, said that he hopes that Khan will be able to fulfil the vision of Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
In a statement issued here, Mirwaiz said he hopes that Khan’s dream of a “Naya Pakistan” would be realized.
Hurriyat chairman also hoped that the new regime in Pakistan would continue to advocate strongly for the resolution of problems faced by the Muslims across the globe and work hard for their redressal.
“Pakistan has always supported the people of Kashmir on political and diplomatic fronts by acting as the mediator and voice of the oppressed people at international forum,” Mirwaiz said, and added he was hopeful the new government would continue to support the people’s struggle in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat spokesman in a statement condemned the nocturnal raids by forces in Bhan area of Kulgam and Hall in Pulwama.
