Landmine blast kills soldier in north Kashmir’s Kupwara

Baramulla: A soldier was killed in a landmine blast along the line of control (LoC) the neighbouring district of Kupwara.

27-year-old Rifleman Dalbir Singh of 57 RR was critically injured when he stepped over a landmine during a routine patrol near Gulab Post along LoC in the frontier district on Saturday, official sources told Kashmir Reader.

Singh, who suffered critical injured in the blast, was removed to army’s Drugmulla hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to the grave injuries in the evening.
