Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani was taken to SIKIMS for medical check-up, where doctors for cardiology, gastroenterology and nephrology thoroughly examined the ailing leader.
“He was advised some investigation. His pacemaker was also checked in detail and was found functioning satisfactory. Doctors advised some medicine after which he is feeling better,” Hurriyat (G) spokesperson said in a statement issued here.
Meanwhile, general secretary of amalgam condemned the crackdown and nocturnal raids across Kashmir on the eve of Eid ul Azha preparations.
The Hurriyat leader termed the use of brute force against the civil population as the “worst form of vengeance”. He said that the Hurriyat on receiving pathetic and woeful narratives from Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Bandipora, Handwara and Baramulla, expressed its serious concern about the victimization of the common people by forces.
He appealed the UN Human Rights Commission, Amnesty International, Red Cross and Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) to send their delegations to take stock of the deteriorating human rights violations in Kashmir.
