Srinagar: Court of Principal Session Judge Srinagar on Thursday recorded statement of witness produced by prosecution who were cross examined by counsels for accused in Dalgate blast attack case that left one civilian dead and other injured in July 2017.
Police Chowki Nahru received the information about the grenade attack at CRPF party deployed for law and order problem which resulted in injury to 2 persons and latter among one of them succumbed to injuries.
During the investigation, police said one of the accused Bashir Ahmad sheikh was arrested on 28/04/2018 for questioning who disclosed about involvement of two more persons namely Firdous Ahmad Wani and Hamid Khan and both were also arrested on 30/04/2018.
Police has registered an FIR under 81/2017 section 302, 307 RPC and 3/4 exp act in police station Ram Munshi Bagh Srinagar.
During the course of investigation investigating officer recorded the statement of witnesses on the spot.
Counsels for the accused Advocate Mohd Abdullah Pandit and Mir Shafakat Hussain cross examined the witnesses produced before the court. Earlier three witnesses were also examined during last hearing.
The next date of hearing is listed on August 30 for prosecution evidence.
