Jammu: Lashing out at the PDP-BJP government for “dividing the state in the name of religion, regions, caste and community”, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh CongressCommittee (JKPCC) chief G.A. Mir on Thursday said the damage caused by the coalition is difficult to be repaired.
In a statement issued here, Mir said, “The coalition has created an irrepealably loss to the polity and social harmony of the state which is difficult to be repaired,” adding Congress has always protected and preserved the multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi religious diversity of this nation, but today the traditional peace and harmony is under serious threat.
“Only congress can restore the elements of trust and confidence amongst different section of society,” Mir said.
Addressing a meeting of party leaders and workers on Thursday in JKPCC headquarter Jammu, Mir urged the workers to ensure the defeat of communal and divisive forces in the forthcoming ULB and Panchayat elections.
He said Modi government has failed to answer the questions about the biggest ever defence deal of Rafale jets. Mir questioned the silence of Modi over this issue.
