Militants give a slip to forces in north Kashmir’s Hajin

Bandipora: Militants have managed to give a slip to the government forces after a brief gun-battle in Hajin town of this north Kashmir district.

A group of militants believed to be four to five in numbers fled from government forces dragnet in Mir Mohalla locality of Hajin after engaging them in a brief gunfight, official sources told Kashmir Reader.

Government forces used drones and sniffer dogs after they spotted blood splattered, most likely of a militant who was injured in an early exchange of fire.

SSP Bandipora, Zulfikar Azad told Kashmir Reader that the cordon and search operation in the locality has concluded this afternoon.

“Two militants were were injured in the initial exchange of fire,” he said.
