Law Dept downs Business School in summit clash
SRINAGAR: In a keenly fought summit clash Department of Law beat Business School Department by 3-2 goals in the final of Kashmir University’s Inter Department Football tournament played at Kashmir University ground on Thursday.
It was of Business School department which took the lead in the beginning of the first half of the match when Striker Furqan put the ball in the net.
And just before the half time Law department scored equaliser when Masud Bukhari put the ball in the net from the long rang and hardly gave any chance to goalkeeper to react.
The score-line remained 1-1 when both team went into drinks break.
In second half Department of law played some agressive football and made several moves from both the flanks and it was again Masud who scored back to back two goals.
Business school tried hard to equalise and in the dying minutes of the game scored their second goal.
When the final whistle blew the score-line remained 3-2 in favour of Law Department.
Director Physical Education and Sports Prof Nisar Ahmed Rather was the chief guest on the prize distribution ceremony and gave away the prizes.
Kashmir University Football coach Sajid Dar was also present on the prize distribution ceremony.
The inter department football tournament was organised by KU’s Directorate of Physical Education and Sports.
