People caught hold of non-local vendor for allegedly abducting girl in north Kashmir

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday arrested a non-local vendor after people of Drugmulla area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district accused him of trying to abduct a minor girl.

However police sources told Kashmir Reader that investigation was going on in the matter and it was too early to say anything about the arrested non-local.

Sources said that a non-local vendor was caught by the people of Dragmulla after he was running away with a three year old local girl.

They said that the vendor had abducted the girl from one of the houses however the girl started crying which caught the attention of locals who chased the vendor and caught hold of him.

Later, police reached the spot and took the accused along, witnesses said.
