Soldier killed along LoC in north Kashmir’s Tangdar sector

Baramulla: A soldier was killed on Monday by Pakistani troops along the Line of control (LoC) in Tangdar sector of neighbouring  Kupwara district.

Sepoy Pushpendra Singh of Mathura city of Uttar Pradesh was critically wounded when Pakistani Rangers targeted him with a sniper fire in Tangdar sector in the wee hours today, army sources told Kashmir Reader. The injured soldier, they said, was airlifted to army’s Badami Bagh hospital in the capital city of Srinagar.

“However, despite strenuous efforts by the doctors, the soldier succumbed to his injuries,” sources said.

Army sources said that the attack on the soldier was a clear case of ceasefire violation by Pak troops.
