Protesters demand release of Talib Hussain

SRINAGAR: All Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar and Bakerwal Youth Conference on Saturday held a protest here demanding release of Chowdhary Talib Hussain, a social activist.
Talib is under police custody in Samba from last week and has allegedly been beaten in custody.
Scores of protesters from Gujjar and Bakerwal Youth Conference assembled here in press enclave and raise slogans ‘justice for Talib Husain’.
The protesters said the allegations which has been made against Talib is totally ‘baseless’.
“The allegations against one of our colleagues Chowdhary Talib Hussain are totally fake,” General Secretary of the Conference, Chowdhary Mohammad Yasin Poswal, said.
The protesters appealed Governor NN Vohra and DGP to release Talib Hussain at the earliest.
“Talib Hussain is the person who highlighted the brutal rape and murder of Kathua minor girl,” the protesters said.
They said threatened to hit the roads, if Talib is not released within one week.
