Man drowns in Jhelum in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

Pulwama: A man drowned in river Jhelum in Kakpora area of this south Kashmir district, police today said.

45-year-old Ali Mohammad Malik of Marvel village here was extracting sand from Jhelum when he slipped and drowned in the river, SHO Kakapora Sarjan Ahmad told Kashmir Reader today.

Ahmad said that the efforts were on to retrieve Malik’s body.
