Internet service restored in Kashmir’s capital city

Srinagar: Authorities have restored mobile internet service in this capital city hours after it was snapped due to the outbreak of an encounter between militants and government forces in Batamaloo area of the city.

All the cellular companies, including the state-run BSNL restored the 2G, 3G and 4G internet services to its consumers, hours after it was snapped amid apprehensions of law and order following Batamaloo encounter, official sources told Kashmir Reader.

A cop was killed while three others, including two CRPF troopers injured in the pre-dawn gun-battle in Batamaloo locality of this capital city.
