Cattle lifter gang busted in Pampore, 2 arrested

PAMPORE: Police on Saturday busted a cattle lifter gang and recovered several stolen cattle worth lakhs of rupees at Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.
Police busted 2-member gang involved in stealing and selling cattle at Nagandar village of Khrew, a police official said.
He said several stolen cattle worth lakhs of rupees were recovered from the possession of the arrested persons.
A case under FIR Number 55/2018 under Section 379 RPC has been registered at police station Khrew and further investigations going on.
More arrests and recoveries are expected in coming days, the official said.
