Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Coordination Committee (JKCSCC) on Saturday called for a state wide shut down on August 27 against “onslaught” on Article 35A and Article 370.
Addressing press conference here, JKCSCC, Awami National Conference (ANC) and Sikh Coordination Committee (SCC) under the united banner “We the people of Jammu and Kashmir” urged people of the state to stand together irrespective of region and religion to defend the state subject law.
Deputy Grand Mufti Jammu and Kashmir, Nisar-ul-Islam said that it was a collective responsibility of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to protect Articles 370 and 35A. “We must unite together to protect these constitutional provisions and resist any onslaught attempt on these laws,” said Mufti Nisar-ul-Islam.
