Srinagar: Muslim League on Friday condemned police action of re-arresting party vice chairman Mohammad Yousuf Mir and district president Bandipora Asadullah Parray, who were released on bail by the court.
League spokesman Sajad Ayobi in a statement said, “No information about the fresh detention has been provided to the family members or the party by the police. “JK has been turned into a police state,” Para said, while ridiculing state administration for their “brute approach”.
“Both have been implicated in fictitious cases,” he said. “Authorities instead of honouring court orders are ignoring all norms and rules. Both are subjected to political vendetta.”
Parra added that “such tactics will not break our resolve”.
