Gujjar and Bakerwal youth hold pro-Talib protest in Srinagar

Srinagar: All Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar and Bakerwal Youth Conference on Saturday held a peaceful protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding release of Chowdhary Talib Hussain, a social activist who fought for Kathua case victim.

Talib is under police custody in Samba from last week and has allegedly been beaten in custody.

Scores of protesters from Gujjar and Bakerwal Youth Conference assembled in press enclave and demanded ‘justice for Talib Husain’.

The protesters said that the allegations, against Talib were baseless.

“Talib Hussain is the person who highlighted the brutal rape and murder case of Kathua,”, they said.

The protesters threatened to hit the roads if Talib is not released within one week.
