Bar calls on int’l community to play role in Kashmir issue

Srinagar: J&K High Court Bar Association, Srinagar, on Saturday while condemning the Shopina civilian and injuring of dozens of civilians by security forces in southern Kashmir district, requests the International Community to come forward and play their role effectively in resolving Kashmir issue.
In a statement, the Bar said, “By killing and injuring the people of Kashmir with bullets and pellets, the government of India will not succeed in stopping them from demanding the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions, guaranteeing them the right of self-determination so that peace and tranquillity is established in the South Asia.”
Meanwhile, in an Executive Meeting held here on Saturday at District Court Complex, it was decided that a team of 14 bar members, will appear before the Supreme Court on 6th of August on behalf of the Bar Association, to oppose na appeal made in several writ petitions filed before the Apex Court for scrapping of Articles 35-A and 370 of Constitution of India including Section 6 of the Constitution of J&K.
