Srinagar: Director School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) G N Itoo has directed all the Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers to constitute scholarship cells in their offices for the guidance of the students and to expedite the process.
Itoo was chairing a meeting to the Gujjar and Bakerwal and Pre and Post matric scholarship schemes. Director Tribal Affairs, Muhammad Shafi, Joint Directors of Education Department and Chief Education Officers were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, it was stressed upon all the concerned to make sure to expedite the process. DSEK directed the concerned officers to bring awareness among the deserving students and guide the students in completing all the formalities.
Itoo directed the concerned officers to submit the forms for scholarship of Gujjar and Bakerwal students at the time of their admission so that they can be timely benefitted by the scheme. During the meeting officers discussed the issues related to bring the Gujjar and Bakerwal students in private schools under this scheme.
Director Tribal Affairs highlighted many important points regarding the scheme and informed about the formalities required for the implementation of the schemes. He directed them to take all the necessary steps to bring all the deserving students under the purview of the scheme.
The Chief Education Officers highlighted many problems being faced while implementing the schemes on the ground level in response of which the Directors passed some directions.
Meanwhile, DSEK discussed many points regarding the aspirational Districts Kupwara and Baramulla with the officers of Ministry of Human Resource and Development, New Delhi.
Chairing another meeting regarding the teacher training modules, Itoo discussed many important aspects with the officers from NCERT, New Delhi.
