RBI’s CAB organises ‘customised’ training prog on agri finance for JKGB officers

SRINAGAR: College of Agriculture Banking (CAB), Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Pune conducts on-location training programmes for officers of Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) across all zones of India.
CAB, RBI Pune this year had selected J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) amongst RRBs of north zone to conduct the aforementioned five-days training programme w.e.f. 30th July, 2018 to 3rd August, 2018.
At the inaugural, General Manager, J&K Grameen Bank, Romesh Vaid spoke in detail on the HR (human resource) challenges and strategies, business development and profit planning in JKGB and its role in growth, development and upliftment of rural agriculture economy of the state of J&K, an official handout read.
DGM, RBI, Pankaj Setiya from CAB, RBI Pune emphasised the importance and role of such type of training programmes in assessing the skills and aptitude of the officers, undertaking the training programme and enriching the participants with the knowledge of techno-economic and financial appraisal skills of projects in farm and non-farm sector and also imparting knowledge of regulatory, legal and market risk related to such financing, it read.
Thirty branch officers from different branches of J&K Grameen Bank across the regions of J&K state are attending the training programme.
