Oath taking ceremony for veterinary graduates held at SKUAST

SRINAGAR: Oath taking ceremony for veterinary graduates was held at Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-K, Shuhama, Alusteng here on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued here, veterinary graduates are customarily administered oath upon completion of graduation programme and this marks an important milestone in the career of veterinarians.
“63 BVSc&AH graduates on completion of all the requirements of degree programme including six months compulsory internship and after passing the comprehensive viva voce examination were awarded provisional degree certificates,” the statement said.
Prof Shakil Wani, Director Education SKUAST-K gave away the certificates to the graduates.
Prof Sarafaraz A Wani administered veterinarians’ oath to the graduates in which they took unto themselves the responsibility of working for animal health and welfare and continual improvement of their skill and competence.
Co-ordinator internship Dr M R Fazili explained the importance of oath taking ceremony for veterinarians.
Prof M M Darzi, Dr Azmat Alam Khan, were also present on the occasion.
