3 CRPF men injured in Anantnag grenade attack

Anantnag: At least three CRPF men sustained minor splinter injuries in a grenade explosion here in main town Anantnag on Monday.
The injured were in a stable condition and were being treated at Anantnag district hospital.
According to police reports, the attack was carried out by suspected militants at about 7:50 PM, here in Sherbagh area of the main town.
“They targeted a CRPF patrol party moving in the area. Three men of the force were left injured in the explosion,” a CRPF official said.
The huge explosion created panic in the area with people running for safety.
The injured were immediately shifted to the nearby district hospital.
“They have minor splinter injuries and are out of danger. They will soon be discharged,” a doctor at the hospital said.
Following the explosion, a huge cache of government forces reached the area and searches were being carried out to trace the attackers.
