CRPF trooper laid to rest in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

Pulwama, July 30: Hundreds of people on Monday attended funeral of a CRPF trooper who was shot dead by militants in Naira village here on Sunday night.

Since early morning, people turned up at the house of slain CRPF trooper Naseer Ahmad Rather in Naira village here, witnesses told Kashmir Reader. Senior police and army officials also visited the village and expressed solidarity with the family of the slain cop.

The cop was later laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard. Hundreds of villagers attended his funeral prayers, witnesses added.
