CRPF trooper shot dead in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

Srinagar, July 29: Suspected militants on Sunday night shot dead a CRPF trooper inside his house in a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Suspected militants barged into the residence of CRPF trooper Naseer Ahmad in Naira village of Pulwama around 9:30 pm and opened fire upon him, official sources told Kashmir Reader.

Ahmad, the official said was seriously injured in the militant attack. He was taken to district hospital Pulwama were he succumbed to his injuries.

Naseer belonged to  CRPF 182 battalion in Pulwama and was home on leave.

Meanwhile, government forces have cordoned off the area to nab the assailants. More details emerging
