Militants attack army camp in Sopore

Srinagar: Suspected militants on Saturday evening attacked an army camp in Seelu area of Sopore in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Sources said that the militants opened fire on army’s 22 RR camp at Seelu on Sopore-Kupwara highway. “Army retaliated the fire. However, no reports of injuries was reported in the incident.”

Reports said that the militants initially lobbed a grenade followed by some live ammunition.

Meanwhile, sources said that the army and other paramilitary forces have cordoned off the area to nab the militants.
