Gunmen storm bank in south Kashmir’s Kulgam, 2 injured

Srinagar, July 27: Two civilians, including a bank employee on Friday were injured when unknown gunmen opened fire inside a bank in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Unidentified gunmen barged into Jammu & Kashmir Bank at Mohanpora, Kulgam this afternoon with the intention to loot cash, official sources told Kashmir Reader.

However, the bank employees offered stiff resistance and thwarted the plan. Angered by it, the gunmen opened fire leaving one bank employee and a civilian injured, the official sources added.

Meanwhile, government forces have rushed to the spot. More details emerging
