SRINAGAR: Vijay Kumar, Advisor to Governor NN Vohra, on Wednesday reviewed the security situation in the state and stressed on better coordination between different security agencies.
The security review meeting was held at the Police Headquarters here. The meeting was attended by Director General of Police SP Vaid, Spl DGP PHQ VK Singh, ADGP CID Ab Ghani Mir, ADGP Security/SDRF/Law & Order Munir Ahmed Khan, IGP Telecom Sunil Kumar, IGP (Pers) PHQ JP Singh, IGP (Hqrs) PHQ Anand Jain, IGP (CIV) PHQ Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, IGP Kashmir SP Pani, DIG (CKR) Vidhi Kumar Birdi, DIG Atul Goel, DIG SKR Amit Kumar, DIG NKR Sunil Gupta, OSD to Advisor Kumar Haseeb Mughal, and all senior officers of the PHQ.
IGP Jammu SD Singh Jamwal and DIG JSK BS Tuti, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Deepak Kumar Salathia, and district SSPs attended the meeting through video conference.
DGP SP Vaid and senior police officers briefed the Advisor regarding the security scenario of the state and other issues. The Advisor assured that all the issues flagged by the DGP and his team will be looked into.
Earlier, the Advisor visited some sections of PHQ and interacted with the officers and officials of these sections.
