BARAMULLA: Micro Finance & Financial Inclusion Department, J&K Grameen Bank is conducting a state wide campaign regarding social security schemes including PMSBY & PMJJBY wherein people are insured at a nominal premium of Rs 12 & Rs 330, respectively.
Most of the beneficiaries belong to unorganised sector including factory workers, hawkers and rural agricultural labourers, etc. After more than a year, 100 percent claim settlement rate was maintained by the bank and the nominee of the insured person got a financial aid of Rs 2 lakh.
Recently, J&K Grameen Bank organised a programme in which General Manager ROK, Sopore, M Ayub Khan handed over the lump sum amount of Rs 2 lakh PMSBY claim to the nominee of the insurer, Atiqa Begum from Dhachi Trikanjan, Boniyar.
He appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank was “making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of social security schemes a big success”.

Sarpanchs and Panchs of the village Boniyar also made people aware regarding use of social security schemes and the schemes of the bank. They described the problems faced by the general public due to the unawareness of the availability of simple digital and cashless transaction methods.
Branch Head, Boniyar, M Assadullah Dhar highlighted various lending schemes tailored by the bank for general public available on easy EMIs i.e., housing loan, transport loan, car loan, education loan, etc., where rate of interest charged by the bank is very competitive.
RuPay debit cards were also distributed to customers.
