Jio subscribers complain of disappearing network

SHOPIAN: Reliance Jio is giving tough time to its subscribers in south Kashmir districts of Shopian and Pulwama. For the last week, many subscribers said, the network in many villages is either very weak, or has disappeared, while as the internet speed in “less than 2G”. Danish Ahmad Hurrah, a resident of Rajpora village of Pulwama said that six villages around the hamlet were without Jio coverage, though a week ago the services were fine.
Another resident from Pargochi area of Shopian said they were facing problems due to some unknown snag in the Jio network. “When I contacted the network operators they told me to wait for five months without mentioning the reason, even though a week ago, we had 4G services,” says Farooq Ahmad. He said villages like Shamsipora, Heff, Nowgam and DK-pora were facing similar problems.
The subscribers accuse company of cheating customers after they had paid for different packs of monthly bills.
A top official of Reliance Jio based in Anantnag told Kashmir Reader that they were working on the issues faced by customers.
“Currently we have problem of fibre and we are working on that. At a few places there is higher number of customers due to which there in some disruption in network that too will be solved soon,” he said.
