Counselling session organised for ITI trainees

SAMBA: District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) on Tuesday organized a Career Guidance Programme for students at Govt ITI.
The students were counselled regarding various career options available in the public sector as well as private sector.
Experts also provided information regarding various entrepreneurial schemes implemented by the government. Around 95 students from different trades (Fitter, Welder, Electrician, COPA) attended the session. The main emphasis was on enabling the trainees to choose their career as per the aptitude and skills rather than under the peer’s influence.
The experts Rahul Vohra Young Professional, and Dushant Singh Career Counselling Officer, from DE&CC Samba interacted with students and advised them to focus on their career professionally.
Superintendent of the ITI Samba, B.R Malhotra appreciated the efforts of the DE&CC team for organizing such programme.
Senior faculty member Bishan Singh, ANO Ravinder Kumar and MMV Instructor Yudhveer Singh and other employees were also present on the occassion.
