Bandipora villagers allege forces of high-handedness during search operation

Bandipora: Villagers of Watapora in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District Saturday alleged government forces of high-handedness during a search operation.

Witnesses told Kashmir Reader that government forces launched search operation at Watapora village in the outskirts of District Headquarters by conducting door to door searches in the localities of Chana Mohalla, Khospora and Gulshan Aabad early today.

The locals alleged that during the operation forces threw choicest abuses on people and vandalized house besides thrashing few youths after heated arguments with them.

The searches were conducted from 5:00 am to 9:00, locals said.
