Pulwama: Government forces on Thursday evening found and diffused a hand grenade near an gunfight site in Thamna village of Pulwama district where a militant was killed on June 30.
“One rusted grenade which was found by government forces at Thamna village was defused by Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) of Police without causing any damage,” SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Chaudhary told Kashmir Reader.
One Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militant Sajad Ahmad Shah, a resident of Gund, Chogul Handwara was killed while two others managed to escape during the gunfight at Thamna on June 30.
