SRINAGAR: Muslim League Jammu Kashmir has strongly condemned the shifting of its incarcerated vice chairman Mohammad Yousuf Mir to Central Jail Srinagar after producing him for hearing in a local court here.
A League spokesperson in a statement also condemned the “harassment” of family members of party’s general secretary Mohammad Rafiq Ganaie, by government forces.
“Prolonging the incarceration of Mohammad Yousuf Mir clearly indicates that a well planned conspiracy (is being hatched against him) to keep him forever behind bars,” he said.
The spokesperson said the Muslim League activists are restrained from carrying out peaceful political activities and are detained in different jails and police stations under “baseless cases”.
“This clearly shows the dangerous hidden policy of government of India against Muslim League,” he said.
