SRINAGAR: Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health of its district president Bandipora Assadullah Parray who is languishing in Kot Bhalwal jail, Jammu.
A League spokesperson in a statement urged the administration to immediately release Parray saying because one of his daughters is suffering from skin cancer.
“For the last five years, Assadullah Parray is languishing in jails without any reason. He is suffering from many chronic diseases which have affected his health baldly,” he said.
“Parray has been made a victim of political revenge to create hardships for his unemployed daughters. His wife has already died and there is no male member in his family to look after his daughters,” the spokesperson said.
He added, “The viral video circulating on social media about the deteriorating condition of Parray’s family is heartbreaking and it is unfortunate to see the distressed and painful life of his daughters. That is why his elder daughter is earning a little through tailoring, cares her younger ailing sister and takes the whole responsibility of family on her own shoulders. The so-called human rights protectors may have seen this video but still they are closing their eyes and don’t care about releasing their father.”
The spokesperson urged the Red Cross and international human rights organisations to take cognisance of the matter and play their role in releasing Asadullah Parray.
